Our inspection is short and there are no surprises in it. We already gave you a price from your photos, so the inspection is simply us checking that the car matches what you told us. Most take 15 to 30 minutes, and then we do the paperwork and pay you on the spot.
Before We Arrive
A little preparation makes it quicker:
- Have the registration papers, your photo ID and all keys ready.
- Find the service book and any recent repair receipts.
- Remove personal items, toll tags and parking permits.
- If there is finance owing, have the lender’s payout figure handy.
You do not need to clean, repair or get a roadworthy. We buy cars as they are.
What We Check
- Identity and ownership. We match the VIN and plates to the papers and confirm you are the owner or authorised to sell.
- Outside. Panels, paint, rust, glass, tyres and any accident repairs.
- Inside. Seats, dashboard, air conditioning, electrics and warning lights.
- Mechanical. If the car runs, we start it, listen to the engine and, where safe and legal, take a short drive.
- History. Service records and any finance or write off records.

Will the Price Change?
Not if the car matches your description. The price we give from your photos stays the same unless a major fault was not mentioned. That is why we ask you to tell us about known problems upfront. Declared faults are already in the price.
After the Inspection
- We confirm the price with you.
- We complete the transfer paperwork on the spot.
- You are paid by cash, bank transfer or cheque before the car leaves.
- We drive or tow the car away. There is no pickup fee.
