How Pickup Works in the East
Start with a phone call or the online form. We ask about the make, model, year, kilometres and anything that is wrong with the car, then offer you a choice of appointment times.
The buyer arrives at the agreed place, which can be your driveway, your office car park or a mechanic that has the car. After a walk around and a check of the paperwork, the price is confirmed and you are paid in full by cash, bank transfer or bank cheque. We then drive or truck the car away free of charge. Appointments run 9am to 9pm from Monday to Friday and 9am to 6pm on Saturday. Sunday is closed.

Abandoned or Unwanted Car Rules in Your Council
Eastern councils publish clear steps for vehicles left unregistered or abandoned on public land. A summary of each is below.
- Maroondah City Council. An officer attaches an Abandoned Vehicle Removal Notice with a timeframe for removal, usually 7 days. An impounded vehicle must be collected within 28 days and a release fee is payable. See Maroondah abandoned or unregistered vehicles.
- Whitehorse City Council. A Community Laws Officer stickers the vehicle and tries to reach the owner. If nothing is heard for two months the vehicle is impounded. - Knox City Council. Reports are investigated within 10 business days where possible. An impounded vehicle that is not reclaimed is disposed of after 14 days. See Knox abandoned cars and impounded goods.
- City of Monash. A vehicle deemed abandoned or unregistered on council controlled land may be removed and impounded. See Monash abandoned vehicles.
