How Pickup Works in the West
Because we are based in the west, travel time is short and a same day visit is often possible when you call during opening hours. We come to your home, your workplace or another spot where you feel comfortable, look over the car and make a firm offer.
If you accept, you are paid on the spot and we take the car with us. There is no pickup fee, and a car that does not run is collected on a truck at no cost to you. We are open Monday to Friday 9am to 9pm and Saturday 9am to 6pm, which suits most people who work during the week. We are closed on Sunday.
What We Buy From Western Suburbs Sellers

Abandoned or Unwanted Car Rules in Your Council
An unregistered or unused car left on the street can attract a council notice. Each council in the west handles it a little differently, so check the page for your area.
- Brimbank City Council. Abandoned vehicles are reported and investigated through the council Report It service. See Brimbank abandoned vehicles.
- Melton City Council. A notice is placed on the vehicle first. If it is not moved the council can impound it, and a vehicle that is not claimed and paid for within 14 days may be sold, destroyed or given away. See Melton vehicle local laws.
- Hobsons Bay City Council. An officer inspects the vehicle, places a notice on it and tries to contact the owner. It may then be towed to an impound facility, with the costs charged to the owner. See Hobsons Bay unregistered and abandoned vehicles.
- Wyndham City Council and Maribyrnong City Council. Contact the council directly for the current process in these areas.

These suburbs are a straightforward run from Delahey. If you call during opening hours we can often come out the same day, and otherwise we book a time that suits you.
Do you come out as far as Melton?
Yes. Melton and Melton South are part of our regular area, and we also travel further into regional Victoria when needed.
Can you inspect the car at my workplace in Sunshine or Footscray?
Yes. Many sellers prefer us to come to their work during the day. Just make sure you have your licence, the registration details and the keys with you.
My unregistered car is parked on the street. Can you still buy it?
Yes. We buy unregistered cars and collect them with no pickup fee. If the council has put a notice on it, let us know the date on the notice when you call.
